摘要
The great sunspot group which appeared in March, 1989, has been the largest one inrecent four decades. There occurred also the extraordinary solar activities and majorgeophysical effects associated with this region. A lot of solar-geophysical data have beenacquired througy the joint observations in China. A workshop on the observations andanalyses of the major solar-terrestrial events in March and August, 1989, was held
