直接调制获得1.3μm半导体激光超短脉冲

Ultra-short pulse obtained from 1.3μm semiconductor lasers by direct modulation

摘要 本文报道采用梳状波发生器直接调制的1.3μm双沟槽平面掩埋条形(DCPBH)激光器以及脉宽的二次谐波相关测量系统。获得了重复频率为1GHz.最短脉宽为17ps的光脉冲:给出了脉宽和峰值功率随偏置电流变化的关系,表明当偏置在阈值附近时,可获得最短脉宽和最高峰值功率。 Optical pulses with a repetition frequency of 1GHz and pulse width of 17 ps at 1.3μm are obtained by using a comb generator and direct modulation of DCPBH lasers. Experiments on SHG correlation measurement system are also described. The depencence of pulse width and the peak power on the variation of biased current are shown, which indicates when the laser diode is biased near the threshold, the shortest pulse width and the highest peak can be obtained.
