On Cross-National Ethnic Issues of Northwest Frontier in China

我国是一个统一的多民族国家,与周边邻国拥有众多的同源同族的跨国民族,新疆"7.5"事件爆发后,西北边疆又成为世界关注的焦点地区。如何应对突发事件、处理好国内的民族关系,防止境外敌对势力利用同源跨国民族从事分裂祖国的活动,都极需进行跨国民族问题研究,预见和消除边疆民族各类政治亚文化的变异,为国内民族团结、边疆稳定,防止分裂建言献策。

China is a unified multi-ethnic country with a large number of cross-national ethnic groups from the same ethnic origins or groups in tile neighboring countries. The Northwest frontier has become the focus of the world especially after the outbreak of the ＂7. 5＂ event in Xinjiang. It is an emergent call for cross-national studies on how to respond to emergencies, handle domestic ethnic relations and prevent the foreign hostile forces from utilizing the cross-national ethnic groups to engage in secession activities. The purpose of this paper is to curb the inflation of the secessionism, to prevent the variation of various political sub-cultures from ethnic, border and other aspects, to propose ideas and offer suggestions for domestic national unity, the stability in border areas as well as the prevention of the secession.
