The Stilwell Road which was built during the World War Ⅱ, also known as the Sino-Indian highway and "the lifeline of the Far East War", used to play an important role in the Chinese Anti-Japanese War and the Anti-Fascist in the Far East. For some reasons, most part of the once brilliant road was in a deserted state after the World War Ⅱ. Until the late 1980s, the government of Myanmar announced the opening up policy, which created the conditions for the reopening of the Stilwell Road. Currently, from the perspective of regional economic cooperation, reopening the channel which steeped in a long history and changing the lifeline into economic lines have a very important strategic significance and practical significance for regardless of the economic and social development of Southwest China or North Myanmar and Northeast India.
