徐复观历史观的基本特征

The Basic Characteristics of Xu Fuguan's View of History

徐复观的历史观有三个基本特征:人类历史应是不断进步的,包括物质的进步和价值的升进,即人类一种向前、向上的努力,从而形成了其进步史观的基本观念;从文化视角思索人类历史的发展,发现中西历史的发展都是源自各自的文化性格,从而展现出了其文化史观的基本特征;将人的心性视为历史的源出之所,中西历史于是成为一种各偏向仁性和知性的发展,又形成了其心性史观的基本特征。

Xu fuguan＇ s view of history had three basic characteristics. He thought that the human history should be progress. This progress included material progress and value progress. That was a human forward, up efforts. That was his progress view of history. He thought about the development of human history from a cultural angle, and found that the development of the history of the west and China, were rooted in their respective culture character. That was his view of cultural history. He thought that man＇ s heart-nature was the source of the history. Chinese and western history became a kind of development which each turned to the nature of benevolence and intellectual. That was his view of heart-nature history.
