In the drawing of topographic map,some special linetypes are often used to express specific coverings and boundaries.However,there are no corresponding linetypes in the standard AutoCAD.And it is necessary to customize these special linetypes.Linetype customization is a basic skill that is necessary for drawing persons and secondary developers of AutoCAD to master.This paper described how to custom linetype of topographic maps in a text editor with MKLITPE command in the environment of AutoCAD,and its methods were elaborated in detail,which provided reference for each profession to customize its own linetype.
