Looking back development of Shantou electric power communication networks, the paper proposes that it is effective in improving operation ratio of communication equipment, implementing concentrated maintenance and unattended station and improving management level of electric power communication networks. Besides, it introduces components, func- tions and characteristics of the system and application in Shantou electric power communication networks.
