The obscurity of poetry lies largely in the obscurity of its images. That an image might be obscure is mainly because the poet fails in utilizing the image to transmit certain message;the poet sends the mesenger /image with the message;the messenger/image faces the reader yet the message cannot be interpreted or accepted. This makes the poem mute and obscure. This article, mainly resorting to some of the Irish poet Yeats' poems and essays, attempts to look into what happens while an image is borrowed,or designated during the process of image production,in order to analyze the personalized features in an image. In doing this,it seeks to find new approaches to poetry interpretation and poetry aesthetics.
