摘要
本文以Gernsbacher的结构建造框架理论为依据,探讨外语学习者对外语故事的理解加工。研究采用E-prime编程呈现实验材料,共进行受试内设计和受试间设计两组实验。结果发现:1)学习者使用抑制机制来清除无关信息的影响,对角色目标保持跟踪,从而理解故事中的因果路线;2)学习者的外语水平对抑制效率发挥重要影响;3)学习者在进行角色目标抑制时,因外语水平和抑制机制的共同作用而表现出"阈值效应"。
Based on Gernsbacher's Structure Building Framework,this study explored foreign language(FL) learners' narrative comprehension processes.By using the E-prime software package as a tool to present experimental materials,we conducted two experiments,one being the within-subjects design,and the other the between-subjects design.The results show that 1) the FL learners use the mechanism of suppression to dampen the interference of irrelevant information in order to keep track of the character goals and understand the 'causal path' in narratives;2) their L2 proficiency influences the efficiency of suppression;3) their L2 proficiency co-effects with suppression,resulting in the 'threshold effect' in their suppression of character goals.
