On the characteristics of charity in Zhenjiang from the Qing Dynasty to the Period of the Republic of China

清至民国时期,镇江慈善事业兴盛发达。与传统善举相比,慈善家群体的形成、多样化的慈善组织、多元化的慈善道德、先进的救济运作手段和广泛的经费来源等成为这个时期镇江慈善事业十分显著的特征。

Charity was boosting from the Qing Dynasty to the Period of the Republic of China.Compared with traditional benevolent behaviors,the charity at that time had distinctive characteristics of diverse charity organizations,multi-cultural charity morals,advanced means and operation of relief and far-ranging sources of funds.
