Breast cancer threatens women＇s life and surgery plays an important role in the treatment of breast cancer.Radical mastectomy has played a predominant role for nearly 75 years.Later,extensive radical mastectomy and modified radical mastectomy have been proposed.Then maximal tolerable treatment has been replaced by minimal effective treatment.With the use of breast-preserving surgery and sentinel lymph node biopsy,individualized conservative surgery has become the treatment of choice for breast cancer.
