He Qi-fang's Self Adjustment in the Period of 1949-1966

1949—1966年间何其芳的文学活动和文学评论具有极大的分裂性。一方面,他在体制内部紧跟中共中央的步伐,以文件和政策为依据,开展批判运动;另一方面,他又在体制允许的最大限度内表达自己对于艺术的理解与坚持。二者之间形成的巨大张力,使其精神人格出现了一定程度的分裂且随着政治形势的变化而不断地做着自我调适。

Entering into the age of the People＇s Republic of China, He Qi-fang＇s literary activities and literary criticism had a great split in the period of 1949-1966. On one hand, following the pace of the Central Committee of Communist Party of China, he carded out criticism movement according to the authoritative documents and policies; on the other hand, he maximized the expression of their understanding and adherence to art in the system. This huge tension makes him appear split personality. He constantly adjusts himself with the change of the political situation.
