现代汉语语法中的“动因竞争”

Competing Motivations in Modern Chinese Syntax

语言交际中"明晰"和"省力"这两条原则会发生抵触,是互相竞争起作用的,这就是"动因竞争",它要求尽可能用简单明晰的形式表达尽可能多的意义。现代汉语中的非常规谓宾关系、词类活用这些省时省力、言简意赅的独特汉语表达形式正是在"动因竞争"原则支配下产生的独特语法现象。

The linguistic phenomenon that the clarity principle and economy principle are competing with each other during the process of people＇s communication is called competing motivations,which requires that meanings should be expressed as clearly as possible and as briefly as possible.Those time-saving and effort-saving forms of expressions in modern Chinese such as unusual verb object relationship and flexible use of word class are unique Chinese grammatical phenomena,in which the principle of competing motivations plays the leading role.
