American New Conservative camp consists of traditional conservatives, conservative liberal intellectuals and the New Left “political converts” who broke away from the New Left organization in 1970s and 1980s. This paper will explore the factors that lead to their “political convert” and their unique memory and perception of these factors from the perspective of contextualism in order to analyze historical context's influence upon their “political convert” and their memory and perception.
