The talent training target of local colleges and universities is applied talents.At present,Guangxi is in the new period of rapid economic development,needing a large number of applied talents.But now the college English teaching in some colleges and universities of Guangxi can＇t meet the requirements of the cultivation of applied talents.In order to serve the new development of Guangxi better,measures should be taken to optimize English training programs of applied talents,such as designing courses according to the local conditions,updating course contents,optimizing teaching modes,innovating teaching methods,perfecting evaluation methods,strengthening teachers＇ training and other ways.
