摘要
黏土矿物在造纸行业中长期广泛使用,但是目前通行的预处理工艺不能充分发挥黏土矿物在纸品中的助留增强效果。本实验以凹凸棒石黏土为例,考察了水化预处理对凹土填充纸品性能的影响。结果表明,充分水化处理可使凹土崩解到微纳米尺度,从而可提升凹土加填纸的抗张强度。同时,SEM表征及机理分析表明,高效水化可使凹土颗粒微纳米化,能显著提升其与植物纤维的结合效率;凹土的高长径比及易水化特性是赋予其优越纸品填充性能的根本原因。
Clays have being used in paper industry.However,the usual pre-treatment of clay can not make clay play very well.The experimental results showed that stirring can make attapulgite slurry hydrated and dispersed effectively.Tensile strength of the attapulgite-filled handsheets was found to be improved with hydrating.With increase of hydrated attapulgite clay,the tensile strength of the filled handsheets was first increased and then decreased.SEM showed that the improvement of paper properties was mainly due to the sound combination of hydrated attapulgite clay and the natural fibers.And the high length/diameter ratio and the hydration of attapulgite clay bestowed the superior properties of the paper.
