Ann Beattie is a famous American woman writer with a special writing style,but there is still few current research on her and her works in our country. The paper chooses one of her short stories Honey and tries to discuss it with the theory of postmodernism. It analyzes how the principle of uncertainty is applied in the story, to reflect the uncertainty of modern society and people＇s negative and confused attitude towards life.
