中法战争时期,张之洞根据形势的变化,提出了积极防御、周密部署、借用民众力量、持久作战等军事方略,并以此为依据,开展了一系列的军事实践,取得了一定的效果,为中法战争的胜利奠定了良好的基础。

During the Sino-French War,in accordance with the changing situation,ZHANG Zhidong adopted the strategies of active defense,careful deployment,reliance on mass forces,and protracted warfare.On the basis of these successful strategies,he launched a series of military actions.This resulted in a certain amount of success,laying a good foundation for the final victory of China in the War.
