《诗刊》自创刊起,就发表了以毛泽东诗词为代表的大量旧体诗词作品,在当代诗歌史上产生了重要的影响。这一事件使旧体诗词存在与发展的合法性不证自明,并且具有强烈的示范效应,在客观上鼓励了包括新文学家在内的广大诗人尝试、转向旧体诗词写作。在诗歌观念上,改变了人们新旧诗对立的思维模式。还使得报刊杂志成为当代旧体诗词重要的传播媒介,旧体诗词获得更多公开发表的机会。《诗刊》发表旧体诗词,使得现代大众传播媒介与旧体诗词实现了互利双赢,提升了旧体诗词的地位。

The periodical POETRY has influenced significantly the Chinese contemporary poetry by publishing a great number of Chinese classical poems,especially those composed by Mao Zedong,which not only proves the justification of classical poems self-explanatory in modern China,but,by setting up a model,objectively encouraged the poets to turn to classical poems again,changed the ideology of opposition between classical and modern poems,and promoted newspapers and magazines to be the important medium of contemporary classical poems,which uplifted the status of classical poems,and is the win-win of both the modern mass media and the classical poems.
