As one of the highly integrated disciplines,translation studies need to absorb other related fields of research and theories to develop and build its own disciplines and research methods as well.Based on the linguistic theories,this paper gives an overview of the linguistic issues involved in contemporary Chinese theoretical translation studies.The study discusses the scope of the research models,research focus and research methods respectively.
