Back on November 7th,the Shanghai United Assets and Equity Exchange released the results of the two month long bidding war for control of 100%of Shanghai Jahwa shares,revealing that Shanghai Pingpu Investment was able to purchase the company at the low price of RMB 5.1 billion.After undergoing restructuring,Shanghai Jahwa will transform from being a completely state-owned enterprise to a system of mixed-ownership. Seeing as Shanghai Jahwa was not short on money,what were the company's reasons for rushing into this sale? Why were 26 different private enterprises passed up during the bidding war? What was it that Ma Mingzhe offered that convinced Ge Wenyao to chose him over Hainan Airlines?
