从文艺复兴到启蒙运动的数百年是"西方"向"诸民族"的文化转型过程,而西方启蒙思潮为各民族国家积累新的文化资本奠定了现代思想的基础。17—18世纪以来,西方诸国俗语文学的经典建构既是启蒙思想运动的一部分,也是现代西方诸民族文化转型的重要阶段。在这一过程中,民族语言体制化和俗语文学经典化是西方"诸民族"文化转型的重要步骤;而各民族国家的文学经典建构既是民族文化资本的积累过程,也是现代西方文学新纪元的开始。

The long-run duration from the Renaissance to the Enlightenment witnessed the cultural transformation of the West to the Nations,a process that laid the foundation of modern ideas for many nation-states to accumulate their new cultural capital.Since the 17-18 centuries,Western countries have built up their vernacular canons as part of the Enlightenment movement at the stage of national cultural transformation.During this period,institutionalizing national language and canonizing vernacular literature became important tokens of the cultural transformation from the West to the Nations,which indicated the process of cultural capital accumulation and a new era of western literature.
