摘要
美国华裔剧作家黄哲伦的《蝴蝶君》是拆解西方后殖民主义歌剧《蝴蝶夫人》,颠覆东方主义框架下东方"他者"形象和东西方刻板角色的经典剧作。本文运用东方主义理论,从错位的视角重新解读《蝴蝶君》,借助解构主义策略,具体分析该剧在性别、政治权力及固有模式三方面对东西方原有二元对立关系作出的错位置换,从而解析了黄哲伦以寻求异质文化融合共生为出发点的构思手法和文化策略,以期为该作品的研究提供新的切入点。
Asian American playwright David Henry Hwang's M.Butterfly is a classic work in deconstructing the post-colonial opera Madame Butterfly and subverting the oriental image as "the Other" and the stereotypes of the East and the West.The article analyzes the deconstruction of images of the two protagonists in three aspects of dislocation:dislocation of gender,power politics and fixed patterns in terms of orientalism,discussing Hwang's conception techniques and cultural tactics in order to promote the harmonious coexistence and mutual development of diverse cultures in the hope of providing new angle for drama study.
