Exploring The Translation Strategies of Arts-themed Literature:A Case Study of English-Chinese Translation of Sculpture Literature

艺术文献专题翻译目的在于传达艺术作品的特色意蕴,实现艺术作品的跨文化交流,因而在对其进行翻译转化之时,要充分结合艺术专题文献的文体特征,贯彻等效翻译原则。本文以雕塑作品文献翻译作为实例,探讨艺术文献专题翻译的策略。

The aim of arts-themed literature translation is to realize the cross-cultural exchanges through the reconstruction of unique artistic features of the target art pieces in target languages.The stylistic characteristics should serve as major preference in the process.And the principles of equivalent translation should be adopted.This paper examines the translation strategies of arts-themed literature with the English-Chinese translation of introductory literature of sculpture pieces as a case study.
