Western Social Science Paradigm and Indigenous Tourism Research in China

研究方法是旅游研究者顺利开展旅游研究的必备工具,具体的研究方法又受到特定的研究范式的制约,中国的旅游研究者在努力掌握各种研究方法时,往往对其背后的方法论和研究范式缺乏了解,从而限制了研究水平的提高。本文认为,中国旅游研究者要想提高研究水平,必须首先系统理解西方的科学哲学思潮和研究范式,在此基础上,再采用本土化和跨文化的研究策略。

Research methods subjected to paradigm are the essential tools for tourism researchers to conduct tourism research smoothly. When Chinese tourism researchers work hard to learn to use each and every method, they usually fail to understand the underlined methodology and paradi^n, which limits the promotion of research quality. This paper proposes that Chinese tourism researchers systematically understand western science philosophy thoughts and paradigm in order to promote tourism research quality and apply indigenous and cross-cuhural research strategies in tourism research.
