言者意向与含义取消性检验——后格赖斯语用学视角

On the Speaker Intention and Cancellability Test from the Perspective of Post-Gricean Pragmatics

恰当处理言者意向和含义取消性检验的关系是在后格赖斯语用学理论背景下开展意义研究和语义学/语用学界面研究的基础。回顾经典格赖斯含义取消性检验的内涵,指出言者意向对含义取消性检验带来的挑战,提出言者意向参与构筑含义的表达不仅没有消解含义取消性检验的有效性,反而扩展了含义取消的标准,丰富了含义取消的维度和深化了语言交际的互动协商性。含义取消性检验的内涵由此得以充实,为进一步研究语义/语用界面相关意义层次的可取消性提供参照。

A proper elucidation of the relationship between speaker intention and cancellability test lays foundation for the study of meaning and semantics/pragmatics interface in post-Gricean era.This paper,after a review of the Gricean cancellability test,points out the challenges from speaker intention to ancellability test,and argues that the role of speaker intention in meaning construction does not falsify the cancellability of implicature,but expands cancellation criterion,broadens cancellation dimension and enhances communicative negotiation among participants.The Gricean cancellability test is therefore enriched to provide a guidance for further study of the cancellabilty of the meaning related to semantic/pragmatic interface.
