An Investigation into the Archaic Words of the Northern Dynasties Retained in Henan Dialect

河南方言中保留了不少北朝文献词语,文章通过北朝文献和河南方言材料对32个词语的使用情况进行了互证,并考察了一些工具书的收录和释义,从而指出北朝词汇研究在方言词语探源和工具书编写等方面的重要价值。

There are a lot of archaic words of the Northern Dynasties retained in the present-day Henan dialect.This paper presents a dual analysis on the usage of 32 words by comparing the literature of the Northern Dynasties and the Henan dialectal materials,and then reviews the inclusion and paraphrase of these words in reference books.It concludes by pointing out that research on the archaic words of the Northern Dynasties is of huge value to the exploration into the roots of Henan dialectal words and the compilation of relevant reference books in this regard.
