《新装》是弗吉尼亚.伍尔夫的著名短篇小说。她通过小说中的主要人物美宝表现了她的女性主义观点。伍尔夫想以此展示女性在社会上无助、依赖、未接受教育的状况并试图找到改善这种状况的途径。小说中伍尔夫采用了大量的象征技巧以表现主题。
The New Dress is Virginia Woolf＇s famous short story.In this story,her mainly expressed her feminism by the representative Mabel,the main character of the story.Woolf wants to show the position of women in the society：helpless,dependence,uneducated and hyperbole and thus to find the way for women to improve their position in the society.In the story,symbol is the most successful writing technique used by Woolf to reveal her feminism.
