This essay provides an overview of the researches on Taizhou dialect from six aspects as follows： the ascription problem of Taizhou dialect, the researches on phonetics, grammar and lexis, general theory research, transmutation research and exertion study of the Taizhou dialect. Besides, it also lists some results seen from other data.
