Alien Illusion in Ulysses and Joyce's Irish Cultural Concept

乔伊斯的意识流名著《尤利西斯》的主题——对爱尔兰民族文化的批判除了体现在对主要人物形象的塑造上,还体现在对作品中诸多异族形象的描写上。本文拟从形象学角度出发,结合文本,分析《尤利西斯》中的异域形象及其产生的时代背景,揭示其与乔伊斯的爱尔兰民族文化身份建构之间的关系。

Embodiment of the theme in Joyce＇ s novel Ulysses, Criticism of Irish culture, relies not only on the creation of images of the main characters, but also on the description of alien images. This paper deals with the images of alien races and the background where they were created from the perspective of image studies based on the text of Ulysses, aiming to reveal the relationship between the creation of alien images and Joyce＇ s intention in this novel, that is, construction of Irish cultural identity.
