Deng Zhongxia and Kailuan Labor Movement

邓中夏是马克思主义理论家和卓越的工运理论家,中国共产党早期杰出的工人运动著名领袖之一,是最早将马克思主义与中国工人运动实践相联系的著名共产党人之一。在新民民主主义革命初期的开滦工人运动期间,他一方面关心开滦工人的苦难生活,鞭挞中外资本家的剥削和压迫,启迪开滦工人群众的无产阶级革命觉悟;一方面深入开滦煤矿,指导工人群众开展劳动立法运动,在开滦五矿同盟大罢工最困难的时刻血书鼓励。在其著作的《中国职工运动简史》中,充分肯定了开滦工人运动在中国工人运动史上的重要地位。

As a great theorist of Marxism and labor movement, Deng Zhong - xia is one of outstanding leaders of Communist Party of China in the early labor movement and one of the important Communist Party members who firstly applied Marxism to the practice of the labor movement in China. During Kailuan labor movement in the beginning of new democratic revolution, he cared about the hard lives of Kailuan workers, castigated foreign capitalists＇exploitation and oppression, enlightened the revolutionary consciousness of Kailuan workers ; besides, he went to the Kailuan Coal Mine to guide the movement of labor legislation, he wrote to workers by means of blood in order to encourage them at the most difficult times of Kailuan Five Mines Strike. In his book A Brief History of the Chinese Labor Movement, Deng Zhong - xia affirmed the key contribution of Kailuan Labor Movement to the history of China＇ s labor movement.
