建设文化强国需要增强文化自觉

Cultural Consciousness is Necessary to Build a Great Country in Culture

党的十七届六中全会发出了"努力建设社会主义文化强国"的号召。作为我们文化建设"两大一新"的目标,全会认为:建设社会主义文化强国,就是要着力推动社会主义先进文化更加深入人心,推动社会主义精神文明和物质文明全面发展,不断开创全民族文化创造活力持续迸发、社会文化生活更加丰满多彩、人民基本文化权益得到更好保障、人民思想道德素质和科学文化素质全面提高的新局面,建设中华民族共有精神家园,为人类文明进步作出更大贡献。为着实现这一目标,我们广大文化工作者需要具有高度的文化自觉。我们要自觉地用马克思主义中国化最新成果指导文化建设,坚持中国特色社会主义文化发展道路;要自觉地理解文化的地位和作用,把握中国特色社会主义文化发展中重要的理论和现实课题;要自觉把社会主义核心价值体系建设融入文化建设的诸方面和全过程,坚持用社会主义荣辱观引领社会风尚;要自觉保障人民群众的基本文化权益,将提高民族素质和塑造高尚人格落到实处;要自觉厘定文化的双重属性和文化发展的双重任务,在文化建设中推动政府与市场的双轮驱动;要自觉以更大力度推进文化体制改革,在中国特色社会主义伟大实践中进行文化创造;要自觉推动文化产业的跨越式发展,运用高新技术升级传统文化业态并拓展文化发展新领域;要自觉将灿烂的文化遗产转化为文化较量中的主动优势,转化为软实力竞争中的现实优势;要自觉着眼于推动中华文化走向世界,提高中华文化国际影响力;要自觉树立人才是第一资源的思想,要为建设社会主义文化强国提供有力的人才保障。

The 6th plenary meeting of 17th CCP session calls on people to ＂ endeavor to build China to be a great socialist country in culture＂. It means that we should further promote advanced socialist culture, and the overall development of spiritual and material civilization. We should continually creating new situation beneficial for advancement of national cultural creative energy and people ＂s cultural life; and this could better protect people ＂s basic cultural rights, and overall progress of their qualification in thinking, morality, science and culture. We aim to build the communal spiritual home of Chinese nation, thus to make greater contribution to human civilization. With cultural consciousness, we should consciously apply new achievement of sinicized Marxism to cultural construction, and adhere to the development way of socialist culture of distinctive Chinese characteristic. We should consciously understand the status and function of culture, and comprehend significant theoretical and practical issues of socialist culture development. We should consciously harmonize the construction of socialist core value system in the comprehensive process of cultural construction, and persistently guide social fashion with socialist overview upon honor or disgrace. We should consciously protect people＇s basic cultural rights, and make efforts to promote their humanistic quality. We should consciously distinguish the double attributes and double tasks of culture development, thus to drive with two wheels of government and market. We should consciously push forward the leapfrog development of cultural industry, and apply high - tech to advance traditional cultural forms and expand new fields in cultural development. We should consciously lift national cultural heritage to an active advantage in international cultural comparison. We should pay attention to promoting Chinese culture to world so as to enhance its international influence. We should consciously provide qualified personnel for the construction of great socialist country in culture.
