江南城市群初始阶段的文化阐释

Cultural Interpretation of Urban Realms in the South of the Yangtze River in Preliminary Period

江南城市群的发端和草创时期一直可以追溯至先秦,两个东南地区的国家——吴国和越国为了生存和争霸,开始建设各自的城市。"太伯奔吴"和"寿梦兴吴"宣告了吴文化开始向中原文化靠拢,同时也发展属于自身的精神体系。而吴国姑苏城可谓是这一时期江南城市的代表,它对自然环境的有效利用及其城市设计的独特性为今后江南城市打下了基础。也是从这时起,中国城市逐步显出南北的不平衡性。由政治文化主导的北方地区大城市越来越多,城市文化发展较快;而江南城市文化虽然开始形成,却由于北方政治伦理体系的过于强大在数百年间日益被边缘化。它告诉我们,江南城市群文化自诞生起,其生长和成熟过程就是异常崎岖和复杂的,这也是城市文化逐步蜕变所必须经历的。

The generation of urban realms in the south of Yangtze River could be traced back to pre - Qin dynasty. In southeastern region, two countries Wu and Yue began to build their own city so as to survive and contend for hegemo- ny. ＂ Taibo leaves Wu＂ and ＂ Shoumeng rebuilds Wu＂ declared Wu cuhure^s getting close to culture in the central plain, and its development of its own specific spiritual system. Gusu in Wu country was a representative town in that time. Its effective utilization of nature and its particularity in city design laid a good foundation to cities in the south of Yangtze River later on. It was from that time on that there were unbalances in southern and northern cities in China. Northern regions supported by political culture developed faster and faster. Urban culture in the south Yangtze River also began to shape, however, through hundreds of years it had been marginalized because of the mightiness of northern politics. It tells us that the evolvement of urban circle in the south Yangtze River is a much complex one. And this is a necessary and inevitable process.
