Study on the Bias of the Herfindahl-index System When Being Used in Measuring the Centralization Property of Markets

本文全方位探讨了幂函数对于市场指标的修正特性,在此基础上对赫芬达尔指数的集中功能进行了反思。经推导发现,赫芬达尔指数计量体系由于面临修正速率突变点比较高和多重解非重复空间比率比较高的问题,以其计量市场集中状况时,将不可避免地导致悖论。

The paper discusses the modification characteristic of the power function comprehensively. To reflect the centralization function of the Herfindahl- index system, some derivations are made, through which we find that, because of its high modification-elasticity-mutation point and great multiple - solution-non-repetitive expanse, the Herfaindahl-index system will inevitably fall into paradox when it is used to measure the centralization property of markets.
