摘要
本文重点研究了802.15.4 MAC协议的网络性能,并仿真分析802.11和802.15.4在不同流量负载下数据吞吐量和时延的变化情况。结果表明在传输数据包长度较小的应用环境下,802.15.4的带宽效率比802.11高,说明802.11并不适合数据传输率低、传输包长度较短的应用环境,而802.15.4适合低速率的无线传感器网络。
This paper focuses on the network performance of 802.15.4 MAC protocol, simulates and analyzes the variation situation of the data throughput and delay about 802.11 and 802.15.4 under different traffic load. The results show that in the transmission environment of short data packet length, the bandwidth efficiency of 802.15.4 is higher than that of 802.11. It suggests that 802.11 is not suitable for the application environment that the data transmission rate is low and packet length is shorter, while 802.15.4 is suitable for low-rate wireless sensor networks.
