摘要
美国的辅导教师是美国K-12教育系统的重要组成部分,是学校任课教师之外的专职人员,他们的职责就是帮助每一位K-12学生在学业、职业规划,个人和社会发展上获得最大的成功,但是辅导教师数量的严重不足,师生匹配率过高而导致学生得不到他们想要的帮助,是造成美国目前辅导教师职业评价不高的原因之一。
American school counselors play very important role in K-12 educational system, and they are full-time staff apart from the instructors in school. Their responsibilities are to help each student achieve success in their academics, career planning, personal and social development. However, due to the serious shortage of the American school counselor, the high ratio of students to school counselors leads to no help from them, which forms the low evaluation of the current American school counselor profession.
