Analysis on the Reasons for Zhuge Liang's Failure in the Northern Expedition

诸葛亮发动的北伐战争,虽然达到了诸如巩固其威信地位,缓和内部矛盾,以攻为守,标榜正统,发现、培养人才,锻炼蜀军的战略目的,但它并不符合当时蜀汉政权的国情、民意,而是一场必然失败的战争,其失败的原因是可寻的。

The Northern Expedition launched by Zhuge Liang has achieved such strategic purposes as consolidating its prestige status, easing contradictions, attacking as a means of defense, advertising orthodox, hunting and cultivating the talents, exercising the Shu army, but it doesn＇t meet the state conditions of the kingdom of Shu Han regime and the public opinion, therefore, the failure of the war is inevitable and the failure reasons can be found out.
