Confidence in U.S.Foreign Policy Index:Research and Its Enlightenment

美国外交政策信心指数是美国无党派色彩的非盈利公共政策研究机构"公共议程"联合美国《外交》杂志展开的一项调查。自2005年以来,该调查已发布了7份调查报告并在美国产生了广泛影响。通过对其历次调查的基本结构、相关结论及其焦虑指数与构成等诸多方面的分析,探讨美国外交政策信心指数研究的特点与不足及其对中国外交尤其是公共外交研究与评价带来的启示。

Confidence in U.S.Foreign Policy Index（CFPI） is a survey research conducted by Public Agenda,a nonprofit organization,in cooperation with the journal Foreign Affairs.The research has already generated seven reports since 2005 and is widely recognized in the US.By analyzing its basic research framework,conclusions and the components of Anxiety Indicator and so forth,this article aims to shed light on the characteristics and deficiencies of CFPI and point to the lessons that CFPI could provide to the research and evaluation of China＇s own foreign policy,especially public diplomacy.
