林白水在辛亥革命前兴办新式学堂,筹办革命团体宣扬革命,并创办了《杭州白话报》、《中国白话报》、《俄事警闻》、《警钟日报》等重要报刊,对辛亥革命、中国近代新闻和教育事业皆发挥重要影响。

Before onset of the Xinhai Revolution,Mr.Lin Baishui set up New Type Schools and forged political groups advocating revolution.He also launched several newspapers,such as the Hangzhou Vernaculars,China Vernaculars,Dispatches from Russia,Alarm Bell Daily,etc.,which contributed significantly to the Xinhai Revolution and to modernizing China＇s journalism and education.
