庐山国学和白鹿洞书院在教育学生方面都采取了不同的教育方式。经朱熹及其弟子等人的努力 ,不断继承和发展 ,形成了一套相当完备的教学体系 ,主要有 :升堂讲说、升堂讲释、展礼、聘请学者讲学、分斋教学。

Different teaching approaches were used to educate the students in Lushan national University and White Deer cave Academy. Inhevited and developed by zhuxi and his followers gradually, these approaches formed a sound system including classroom lecturing, answering the students questions in the classroom, ritual practising, visiting scholarsleewring, class division and outing.\;
