《阅微草堂笔记》是清代学者纪昀晚年的作品。这部作品揭露抨击了清代吏治的腐化堕落,反映了人民生活的疾苦;揭露道学家的虚伪卑劣,讽刺腐儒的浑浑噩噩;反映当时的妇女问题,对当时妇女尤其是婢妾的遭遇表示同情;赞颂美好的事物,记录了一些奇闻异事,同时也在其中宣传果报思想,为封建统治阶级服务。

The Notes of Yuewei Cottage is the scholar, JiYun＇s opus in his later years in Qing Dynasty. Its theme is extensive. It looks llke notes, but it consists mainly of short sketches. Among the same type of novels in the Qing Dynasty, it is the most representative and the most influential. In the opus, the author exposed and attacked the corrupt and decadent bureaucracy in Qing Dynasty. He represented the weal and woe of the masses . He recorded a lot of social problems, and he reported strange news and extraordinary affairs . But the opus has some shortcomings as well, for example, he praised feudal ideology and served for feudal ruling class.
