摘要
西方文学中的中国形象是西方作家对中国历史和现实主观意义上的自我解读,兼具自我性和真实性。美国主流文学中的中国形象,无论是天堂还是地狱,无非是借此传达对本国或赞美或不满的声音,都存在一定程度的误读成分。美国华裔文学要发挥沟通中西文化的桥梁功能,既有效消弭西方主流文学对于中国形象的误读,又能从数代海外华人奋斗史中汲取有益的教训,不断锻造出一个崭新的中国形象。
Chinese image in western literature refers to western writers' subjective self-interpretation on Chinese history and reality,which bears both self and authenticity.Whether heaven or hell,Chinese image in American mainstream literature is to communicate the voice of compliment and dissatisfaction for their own country which exist a certain degree of misreading composition.Chinese image in America should play a bridge function of communication between Chinese and western cultures.There is not only to eliminate misreading which the western mainstream literature for Chinese image effectively,but also from several generations from overseas Chinese struggle to draw useful lessons,and to create a new Chinese image.
