"抓革命、促生产"是"文化大革命"的纲领性口号之一,是"无产阶级专政下继续革命"理论的概括性表述,是阶级斗争扩大化不断发展起来后形成的一种基本治国理念,同时也是对世界现代化潮流的一种歪曲性回应。"抓革命、促生产"必须否定,但它所针对的一些问题仍然值得注意,它对我们继续推动改革进程具有重要的启示和意义。

＂Grasp revolution and promote production＂ was one of the programmatic slogans of the ＂Cultural Revolution＂, a summary expression of the theory of ＂continuing revolution under the dictatorship of the proletariat＂, a basic idea of governance developed in the wake of broadening the scope of class stIuggle as well as a distorted response to the tide of global modernization. We must negate ＂grasp revolution and promote production＂ but we also need to pay attention to the problems aimed at by this slogan for it gives us much food for thought in our current efforts to promote the reform.
