In the course of blazing the road of revolution in China in the early period the CPC put forward different political slogans from the First to the Third National Congress: "social revolution", "democratic revolution" and "national revolution". The changes and substitutions of these political slogans reflected the CPC' s increasingly deeper theoretical understanding of the Chinese revolution in the early period. With a more profound awareness of the Chinese revolution and their own conditions the Chinese Communists had a more rational understanding of democratic revolution and a more objective appreciation of the status, role and political pursuits of the proletarian revolution.
