现代汉诗的海外传播与阅读——“中国文学海外传播”国际学术研讨会奚密教授访谈录

Overseas Dissemination and Appreciation of Modern Chinese Poetry——An Interview with Professor MI Xi at International Conference on Chinese Literature in Global Contexts

2011年4月末,"中国文学海外传播"国际学术研讨会在北京师范大学召开。会议期间,著名汉学家奚密教授就现代汉诗在美国的传播以及现代汉诗阅读与欣赏等问题与笔者进行了交流。近年来现代汉诗在美国的翻译出版呈日益增长的良好态势,港、澳、台三地的诗歌译介也各有特点。影响现代汉诗在美国的传播与译介的主要因素是市场因素。奚密教授强调要用成熟开放的心态去阅读现代汉诗,欣赏的重点要落脚到语言的创新上。系统化地学习是培养诗歌读者的重要保证,多读、细读、慢读是阅读现代汉诗的关键方法。

At International Conference on Chinese Literature in Global Contexts held in Bei Jing Normal University in April 2011, the well - known specialist on Chinese literature, Professor MI Xi expressed his insights into the overseas dissemination and appreciation of Chinese poetry. In recent years, more and more Chinese poems have been translated and published in the United States. Meanwhile, translation of Chinese poetry in Tai Wan, Hongkong and Macao presents new characters. Professor MI Xi stated that market is a major factor influencing the dissemination and translation of modem Chinese poetry in the United States. He also stressed that when appreciating Chinese poetry, a mature - and - open mind is needed and readers should mainly focus on the creative points of its language and have systematic studies on it. Besides, doing more reading and chewing it gradu ally is the key to the understanding and appreciation of modem Chinese poetry.
