思想政治教育学是一门新兴的综合性的应用学科,其理论研究必须面向实践,努力解决在实践中出现的各种新问题。思想政治教育理论研究的实践取向,就是指思想政治教育理论研究要关注在鲜活的实践中出现的新问题,并以解决这些问题为自身理论研究的根本目的。这是马克思主义的指导思想的内在要求,也是思想政治教育学科自身属性的必然要求。思想政治教育理论研究实践取向的具体要求包括合法性、实效性、适应性。
