语法翻译法和交际法在精读课中结合应用的实证分析

摘要 高等院校英语专业教学的最终目标是培养学生运用目标语言进行交际的能力,然而,当前英语专业学生的交际能力却不容乐观。如何在精读课中提高学生的交际能力已成为外语教学界的一个热门话题,也是摆在高校英语教师面前亟待解决的重要课题。针对学生的特点和教学特点,在实验的基础上提出了一种融合语法翻译教学法和交际教学法各自优势的教学法,以达到在精读课中提高英语专业学生交际能力的目的。 There is now a common understanding in university English teaching that its ultimate aim is to develop English majors" communicative competence. However, lots of English majors in the normal university lack the ability to appropriately communicate with others in English. How to develop English majors" communicative competence in Intensive Reading Course has been a popular topic in the heated discussion and a serious problem to be solved in the field of foreign language education. Considering the characteristics of English majors and the teaching features in university English teaching, a method, namely, the combination of the Grammar Translation Method (GTM) and the Communicative Approach (CA) has been proposed in the experiment. The integrated method which aims at developing the students" communicative competence makes the best use of the advantages of both the GTM and the CA.
