山水画在两宋形成了一套完整的体系,尤其是北宋山水画发展到一个前所未有的高度。中国人既完善了山水画对宇宙、自然和生活的认识,又完善了整个中华民族的宇宙观、世界观和人生观。山水画形成具有明显地域特色的南北山水画风。宋人特关注现实社会和具有对自然的直接体验以及对诗意的不自觉的追求。

China landscape painting had formed a complete system in the Northern and Southern Song Dynasties, especially in the Northern Song Dynasty, the landscape painting had come to an unprecedented height. Chinese has not only completed landscape＇s understanding of the universe, nature and life, but also completed Chinese nationaliry＇s understanding of the universe, the world and life. Landscape painting had form south and north painting styles of striking regional colours. The Song people had paid special attention to the real society and direct experience of the nature and poetic pursuit.
