中西译论的差异性——兼论中西思维方式与文化的不同

The Differences of Chinese and Western Translation Theories——For the Diversity of Chinese and Western Thought Patterns and Cultures

中西方翻译理论存有不少相同或相似之处。中国译论历来强调翻译理论的实用价值,强调翻译经验的规范作用,强调译者对翻译之道的心灵感悟;西方译论传统则强调翻译理论的条理性和系统性,强调对于翻译过程的理性归纳、描述以及翻译概念的不断更新。中西思维方式和中西文化的不同是中西译论传统相异的重要原因。

There are some differences between Chinese and Western Translation Theories.Chinese translation theory focuses on pragmaticality,prescription and translators＇ intuition,while western translation theory pays special attention to theoretical description of translating process and uncreasing innovation in thought on translation.Through such contrasts,I propose that different ways of thinking and cultural patterns are substantial factors to understanding differences between Chinese and western traditions of translation theories.
