As a representative writer of ＂Literature of the Ruins＂,Heinrich Boll wrote many novels of different themes centering on anti-war and humanitarianism during different periods from WWII to the year of 1985 when he passed away.This article is aimed at analyzing the theme of orphans and widows left after the War and the narrative strategies adopted by Heinrich Boll in his novel entitled Haus ohne Hüter.Heinrich Boll＇s observations towards the phenomena of ＂ruins and rubbles＂ after the War was not merely about superficial traumas but profound wounds and pains which may be quite hard to be healed in just a few years.
